I just downloaded photoshop. This is going to be a busy summer.

He chuckled slightly at himself when he realized he’d forgotten to give her a size. “Forgive me, i’m only slightly forgetful. My mind runs away at times,” He smirked and reached for the drink, taking a long and slow sip of the liquid. It burned on the way down, still scalding hot, but he only grimaced and reveled in the sensation down his throat. Coffee was just what the doctor ordered for this morning, and Nathaniel could feel his spirits lift just the tiniest bit. Perhaps this was going to work after all.
A hand ran it’s way through his hair as he sat back and stared out the window. “Would you mind if we drank it here? It’s such a…” His eyes cast around the restaurant, taking in the chattering patrons who milled about and the baristas that dashed too and fro behind the counter. “Peaceful place,” Nathaniel finished, a laugh in his voice. He didn’t really know why he wanted to stay, but he’d already been wandering the streets once that morning. Perhaps his mind was not keen to begin again.
Glancing at Cori, Nate took another sip of his latte and sighed in a contented way. “Tell me about what’s happened since i’ve been gone,” He phrased it as a question, leaving it open for her to interpret which area of life he met. In truth, the young man was dying to hear about her and Gabe, especially if she could give him some insights into his brother but he refrained. This wasn’t a meeting with his brother’s girlfriend- this was a chat with an old acquaintance he’d happened to run into on the street. No one would believe him, of course, but it eased his conscience.
Putting up her hands in defense, Cori shook her head and smiled. “Don’t even worry about it.” She smiled down at him. “I forget things all the time.” If anything she should be apologizing. What if he didn’t prefer a size too big or a size too small? She decided to shrug it off and continue on with her day. No time to worry about petty things such as that. If anything, she’d try her hardest to ask next time.
She did mind, but not so much that she would refuse. The brunette teen sat down and nodded her head. “Here it is.” She let out a chuckle and sat besides him. Cori looked around with a smirk when he said it was a peaceful place, truly appreciating his sense of humor. After a second or so, she decided she’d laugh, nodding her head as she did so. “Oh yes. So serene.” Cors went along, calming down her laughs with a small sip of her latte.
Her eyes found his and she paused, not really sure how she could catch him up without being biased. Cori pursed her lips and thought, casually looking around the room as if the walls had answers. “Things were going good.” Taking a deep breath, Cori decided she liked the way she started, and so with that she continued. “After some time, he started becoming distant, and then one day…” She dropped her gaze with a smirk, thinking back on the day that he confessed he had eyes for someone else-wondering what she did wrong. “He just wanted to break up; I didn’t take it well. Said some things I shouldn’t have, and because of that we kept our distance.” Cori didn’t know much about what went on in Gabe’s life now, and she’d go on about how she completely transformed herself to catch his attention somehow. which more likely than not failed, but she tried.
That seemed like such pointless thing to do, and with open eyes looking back, she couldn’t see herself changing for any boy. Not anymore anyway. Cors happened to like where she was now, despite everything, she respected herself enough to stay true to who she was.
“Oh please.” She stared at Cori, her forehead crinkling with a shocked yet condescending expression on her face. “Like I would ‘fall’ for someone with such a dull, avoidant, cowardly personalty. That’s not even taking into account that you and everyone else’s diluted idea of love doesn’t exist.” She sighed. “I sound like a broken recorded but seriously? Why can’t people just get it through their heads that I’ll never fall in love and even if I did find a partner that I was fond of or could tolerate, it still wouldn’t be ‘love’ because it’s not real.” The comment wasn’t directed at Cori, it was a general statement but the annoyance of having to state it every time she had a conversation with someone for more than five minutes was becoming intolerable.
“Trust me, you don’t have to worry about anything. The idea of being with him is vomit inducing, especially when you realize that he actually had sex with Dani.” She shuddered, she reminded herself of this often. It expelled any sensual thoughts of Gabriel in her mind at the time. “It’s just disgusting.”
She got up from her seat a mix of restlessness, uneasiness, and a tiny hint of dread compelled her to stand. “Now all I have to do is pull him out of this slump or whatever he’s in. What is it, like the third one in the past two months?” She rolled her eyes and slipped her fingers into the pockets of her jeans. “We got to pull him up first, make him happy, then crush his spirits.” She ended her sentence with a cynical smile.
As always, Cori tried to keep herself from being offended by Chloe’s belief of love. Chloe knew how she felt, and Cori knew how she felt about it herself. Different opinions; they agreed to disagree. “Just as long as you say so.” She smiled weakly and took her mind off the subject. Knowing Gabriel, and knowing Chloe. two very different people, Cori wondered how they’d work out. However, she couldn’t help but to feel bitter about it. There were a lot of mixed emotions about this plan.
Cori smirked when Chloe assured her she’d be repulsed by the idea of falling for someone who had sexual relations with Dani. At times, Cori felt as of Chloe detested the teen mom more than herself-she could only hold on to hate for so long. “I trust you.” Cors looked out into space for a couple minutes before actually smiling.
The green-eyed brunette turned to her best friend and raised a curious eyebrow. “How?” It was all easier said than done. Gabriel was a thick block of ice. He listened, but it was up to him to decide if he wanted to get himself out of his own desolation. “This is going to be hard, Chlo…” She dropped her gaze and bit her her lip as she tried to brainstorm. “We can’t be too obvious-he’s smart.” Cors warned looking back up at Chloe. Was it second thoughts? Or was she genuinely thinking this through? She hasn’t decided yet.

I’m thinking about it… The house is sort of depressing.
Taking a walk usually helps. Maybe just a simple one around your neighborhood with music so loud you can’t hear anything or anyone. So, that way, you’re still in the comfort of your own world, but out of your house at least…

- Skylar: I hear you're going out for dinner tonight, Bitch bring me left overs.
- Cori: So you're staying over I see...I'll try. Don't wait up.
